SEASIDE, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay women's soccer squad had one of its most successful road trips in program history last weekend. The Otters earned their first-ever victory over No. 22 Sonoma State, a 1-0 decision in Rohnert Park.
With Sunday's scoreless tie at Humboldt, the Otters have recorded a CSUMB season record five shutouts with six games remaining on the schedule. With four of those shutouts, junior
Lily Garza (Redwood City/City College of San Francisco) matched the CSUMB season record set last year by
Diana Zambrano.
The Otters are back in action this Friday, hosting Cal State Stanislaus (3 p.m.) before welcoming Cal State East Bay (2 p.m.) on Sunday.
