Otters begin second part of CCAA season at Sonoma State

SEASIDE, Calif. – At the midway conference mark, the Cal State Monterey Bay women's soccer team enters the second half of the CCAA season with its best conference record in program history at 3-4-1.

The Otters are averaging 13 shots with 5.6 on frame per game, higher than last year's record setting season (10.59 spg, 5.24 SOGpg).

With her game-winning goal Friday, Jami Murray (Newbury/City College of San Francisco) slid into the top spot alongside former Otter Alyssa Matheson (2006) for the CSUMB season goal record at seven.  The junior midfielder scored her fifth goal in as many games to give CSUMB a 1-0 win over San Francisco State.

At the other end of the field, juniors Kendra Gillio (San Jose/Valley Christian HS) and Lily Garza (Redwood City/City College of San Francisco) have combined for a .741 save percentage, ranking second in the CSUMB season record books.

Murray and the Otters take to the road this weekend, traveling to No. 19 Sonoma State on Friday, Oct. 11 at 4 p.m. and Humboldt State on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 11:30 a.m.
