BOX SCORE POMONA, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay women's soccer team is off to its best start in program history, yet the young team is still finding a few growing pains along the way. The Otters fell 4-0 to the Broncos of Cal Poly Pomona Friday afternoon at Kellogg Field.
The Otters fall to 5-3 overall and 3-3 in CCAA action. The Broncos (3-4-1, 1-4-1 CCAA) earn their first conference victory.
The Broncos did not hesitate, getting on the board in the third minute of play on Cindy Paez's goal. Pomona added one more goal before the break and secured the victory with a pair in the second half.

Kristen Womack led the Otters with two shots apiece.
After playing their last five games on the road, the Otters are anxious to return to the Otter Sports Complex. CSUMB hosts Cal State East Bay on Sunday at 2 p.m.
