BOX SCORE SEASIDE, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay women's soccer team held Cal State San Bernardino to only two shots in Friday's contest, but two shots were enough. The Coyotes converted on both of their scoring chances to hand CSUMB a 2-0 setback at the Otter Sports Complex.
CSUMB dropped to 8-8 overall and 5-8 in CCAA action. With the win, the Coyotes improved to 8-7-2, 6-7-1 in conference play.
San Bernardino's first drive resulted in a straight on Amanda Villavicencio goal from 15 yards out in the 14th minute. Melanie Aguayo was awarded the assist.
The final goal was penalty kick by Miranda Corneliussen who put it in the lower right corner in the 86th minute.
The Otters dominated on offense, outshooting the Coyotes 5-2 and recording an 8-0 corner kick advantage. Senior

CSUMB takes the field for the final time in 2012 on Sunday, Oct. 28 with a match-up against UC San Diego at 2 p.m. A win for the Otters would secure their first winning season in program history.
