SCOUTING SF STATE:  The Gators broke their winless streak with a 2-1 victory over Chico State on the road last weekend. SF State has been shutout five times this season, including a 3-0 loss to then No. 25 UC San Diego to begin the conference season. Key Players: Nicole Vanni (5G, 5A, 34S); Elizet Ceja (3G, 1A, 27S); Michelle Kay (2G, 3A, 27S).

SERIES RECORD:  The Gators hold a 10-2 all-time series lead over the Otters, winning the last three meetings.  In 2010, CSUMB won in dramatic style in San Francisco when Jessica Pardo tied the game in the 81st minute and then scored the golden goal in the 100th minute.

SCOUTING CAL STATE EAST BAY:  The Pioneers won back-to-back non-conference games this past weekend: a 1-0 victory at home against Humboldt State followed by a 8-0 slaughtering at Mills College. Key Players: Shianna Falk (5G, 3A, 38S), Eugenie Foote (4G, 1A, 23S), Kara Yamamoto (3G, 7A, 23S).

SERIES RECORD:  The Pioneers have a slight edge in the all-time series, 4-2, with wins in the last three meetings. A late goal in the 82nd minute gave CSUEB the victory earlier this season.

UP NEXT: The Otters will wrap up the 2012 regular season at home, hosting Cal State San Bernardino and No. 12 UC San Diego.

HUMBOLDT STATE: Due to violating hazing rules, Humboldt State will not be eligible to compete in CCAA tournament. All games played against HSU will not count in the CCAA standings.

SHUTOUT QUEEN:  With solid moves in goal, senior keeper Diana Zambrano (La Puente, Calif./Mt. SAC) nearly got her fourth shutout against No. 12 Sonoma State. She held the Seawolves scoreless for 90 full minutes of regulation before relinquishing a goal in the third minute of overtime.

STATISTICS BREAKDOWN:  The Otters continue to make an impact in the program record books. Senior  Andrea Davis' (San Diego, Calif./Coronado HS)penalty kick against Humboldt State lifted her into the No. 1 spot in game-winning goals in a season (3) and career (4). With three shutouts and five wins in 2012, Diana Zambrano (La Puente, Calif./Mt. SAC) has tied the single season, moving in beside previous keeper, now midfielder Andrea Davis.

BEST SEASON EVER:  The Otter have already made huge strides in 2012, earning the most wins (7) and conference wins (4) in program history.  With the Oct. 7th's 1-0 victory over Chico State, CSUMB completed its first season sweep against an opponent since making the move to NCAA Division II (2004-05).  The 2012 Otters have also secured top spots in the program records in game winning goals (7), goals per game (1.08) and shots per game (11.15).
