ARCATA, Calif. – Senior #Shae Olds# racked up two more home runs to lead the Cal State Monterey Bay softball team to a doubleheader sweep over Humboldt State on Tuesday in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA). The final scores were 8-3 and 13-5.
For the series, the Otters knocked out eight home runs.
The Otters host Bethany University on Thursday, April 14 in a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
Game 1: CSUMB 8, HSU 3

A big five-run seventh inning clinched the 8-3 victory for the Otters in game one.
After the Lumberjacks scored a run in both the first and third innings, the Otters knotted it with two runs in the fourth on freshman #Danielle Onken#'s second home run of the series.
Both teams posted runs in the sixth to make it 3-3.
CSUMB's five runs on four hits put the game out of reach for the Lumberjacks.
Game 2: CSUMB 13, HSU 5

The Otters offense took charge in the series finale, racking up 16 hits including four doubles and two home runs.
After HSU jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning, the Otters answered with four runs in their next time up to the plate. Onken scored on a bases loaded HSU error. Junior Jamie Moons hit a RBI single and junior
Jackie Serna's 2 RBI double put CSUMB up 4-1.
After posting a single run in the fourth, the Otters recorded four runs in each of the final two innings. Olds hit a 3-run homer in the sixth and a 2-run home run in the seventh.
