SEASIDE, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay softball team completed its first series sweep of the season with a pair of wins over Cal State Stanislaus on Monday afternoon at the Otter Softball Field. The final scores were 11-3 (five innings) and 1-0.
The Otters improved to 13-18 overall and 11-12 in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) action while the Warriors fell to 14-22, 11-17 in conference play.
Junior #Jamie Moon# went 4-for-7 with one run while batting in two runs. In the opening game, junior #Jackie Serna# hit her seventh homer while sophomore #Angelina Orozco# hit her first collegiate home run with a three-run blast.
The Otters have won ten of their last twelve conference games.
CSUMB hosts Western Washington in non-conference action on Tuesday, March 29 at noon.
