SEASIDE, Calif. - Junior #Jamie Moon# hammers two home runs as the Cal State Monterey Bay softball team takes two games over Cal State Stanislaus on Sunday in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) action. Finals scores were 4-3 and 7-2.
\With these wins, the Otters move into sixth place in the CCAA and just one and half games back from fourth place Cal San Bernardino.
Moon recorded four hits and racked up six RBI for the day. Senior #Shae Olds# went 3-for-3 with a home run and crossed the plate twice.
The Otters conclude the Cal State Stanislaus series with a doubleheader on Monday, March 28 at 1 p.m.

After no action in the first four innings, the Warriors broke loose first with two runs in the fifth. Missy Corrall doubled down the left line to score Sarah Locarnini from first and then scored on Jordan Flora's single to center field.
The Otters knotted the score at two apiece in their side of the frame. With the bases loaded, Olds took a pitched to the body. Junior #Jackie Serna# connected on a sacrifice fly to plate junior #Stevie Trevino#.
With bases load in the sixth, Moon drove in two runs to put the Otters ahead 4-2.
The Warriors threatened in their last at bat by scoring a run, but freshman starting pitcher #Kylie Linnane# got herself out of the jam with a grounder to secure the win.

Once again, the Warriors got on the board first with a run in the opening inning. Vanessa Del Toro hit an RBI single to score Locarnini who led off with a double.
The Otters answered with Moon's two run homer over center field. Olds singled through the middle and scored on senior #Shannon Bailey#'s double to right center.
In the third inning, Trevino led off with a single to center field. Moon and Olds hit back-to-back home runs to raise their season total to seven and eight respectively. Serna followed with a double and crossed the plate on freshman #Danielle Onkin#'s single to put the Otters up 7-1.
Cal State Stanislaus added one more run in the fifth on Corral's double to right that scored Locarnini.
Senior #Diane Ortiz# notched her third win of the season, recording seven strikeout while scattering seven hits.
