SEASIDE, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay softball squad pulled out a victory in the second game of a tripleheader against No. 11 UC San Diego on Sunday, Feb. 20. After falling to the Tritons 9-0 in five innings, the Otters held on to a 5-3 victory in the second game.  UCSD cruised to a 6-1 victory in the final game.

Juniors #Jamie Moon# and #Caydi Dommeyer# joined sophomore #Skyler Valdivia# with three hits apiece.  

The Otters travel to San Francisco for a doubleheader against Academy of Art on Wednesday, Feb. 23 with a 1 p.m. start time.

The Otters scored all five of their runs in the second inning.  Senior #Shannon Bailey# hit a RBI double to score the first run and then scored on a UCSD error.  Junior #Jackie Serna# hit a 3-run homer to put the Otters up 5-1. 

Freshman #Kylie Linnane# picked up her second win of the season, giving up three runs and striking out three batters.
