SEASIDE, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay men's basketball team dropped a 74-65 decision to Cal Poly Pomona on Saturday night at the Kelp Bed.
The Otters fall to 5-12 overall and 3-10 in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) action as the Broncos improve to 10-6, 7-5 in conference play.
Sophomore guard #Davion Berry# scored a game-high 32 points and nine rebounds. Sophomore point guard #Brandon Ward# added nine points and three assists. Sophomore forward #Derrick Anderson# picked up eight points and eight rebounds.
The Otters held a 35-31 lead at the half after shooting 45.8 percent from the field.
For the third time this season, the Otters won the battle of the boards by out-rebounding the Broncos 35 to 28.
The Broncos were led by Kevin Menner with 18 points, going 9-for-12 from the field. Tobias Jahn contributed 11 points and Mitchel Anderson added 10 points.
