SEASIDE, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay women's soccer team fell 4-1 to the UC San Diego Tritons this afternoon at the Otter Soccer Complex.

The Otters drop to 1-6 overall and 0-5 in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play while the Tritons improve to 4-2-1, 2-2-1 in conference action.

UCSD got on the board first in the 27th minute, when Gabi Hernandez headed the ball on a pass from Hayley Johnson.
The Otters rallied four minutes later when sophomore #Marlina Massagli# beat out UCSD goalkeeper Kristin Armstrong to send the ball to the far left corner of the goal.  The play began on a cross by sophomore #Gabriella Bozzo#.  

The game remained tied into the halftime break.

The Tritons retook the lead in the 57th minute on a goal by Sarah McTigue.  UCSD would add two insurance goals before the final whistle, coming from Alyssa Newcomer and Annette Ilg.

The Otters return to the field on Sunday, Sept. 26, hosting Cal State East Bay at 11:30 a.m.
