STOCKTON, Calif. - The Cal State Monterey Bay softball team saw it run to defend its conference tournament title come to an end, falling to the Seawolves of Sonoma State, 10-1, on Saturday afternoon at Arnaiz Field.
After seeing 12 straight balls that resulted in three walks yesterday, junior #Shae Olds# went 2-for-3 with a RBI in today's outing.
Sonoma State's Simone Brandalise crushed a grand slam in the second inning to extend the Seawolves lead to 5-0 after posting a single run in the first.
The Otters lone run of the tournament came in the bottom of the fifth inning. Olds hit a RBI single to left field, scoring senior #Arleen Costa#.
The Seawolves added five more runs in the top of the sixth on three hits and two CSUMB errors.
The Otters have next week off and will wait for the NCAA Regional selection show on May 9th to determine their future this season.
