CARSON, Calif. – For only the second time this year, the Cal State Monterey Bay softball team was swept in the doubleheader, falling to the Toros of Cal State Dominguez Hills 2-1 and 2-0.

Junior #Shae Olds# hit a team-high three hits for the day while freshman #Angelina Orozco# recorded two hits.

Juniors #Diane Ortiz# and #Nicole Garcia# both pitched complete games for the Otters, allowing two runs apiece.

The Otters took their only lead of the day in the fourth inning when junior #Cat Sampson# singled to drive in sophomore #Caydi Dommeyer# who was pinching running for Olds.

CSUDH scored two runs in the bottom of the fifth when Katie Garcia hit a RBI double, the only extra base of the day, and Caitlin McGrath followed with a single to drive her in.

Both teams finished with three hits apiece.

In the nightcap, the Otters fell 2-0 despite out-hitting the Toros 7-5.

CSUDH took a quick 1-0 lead after the first inning and added another run in the fifth inning.
