GAME 2

The Otters once again got on the board in the second inning, scoring two runs on two errors.  Trujillo's ground ball to shortstop took a bad hop for an error and resulted in her to getting to second. The lead was short lived as the Lumberjacks scored two runs in their side of the inning.  Two consecutive singles and hit batter loaded the bases with only one out. #Chrissy Stalf# singled to center field to score the first run and #Felicia Viverios# connected on a sacrifice fly to tie the game at 2-2.

Humboldt had a no-hitter going into the fifth inning when senior #Jenny Montez# blasted a triple to right field, scoring sophomore #Caydi Dommeyer# who reached on a walk. Senior #Niki Ames# connected on a sacrifice fly to center to bring Montez across the plate.

The Otter added an insurance run in the sixth inning when freshman pinch hitter #Amanda Good# singled to center field to score Moon from second.

The Lumberjacks attempted a rally in the top of the seventh with two runners in scoring position with only one out. Ortiz entered in relief to force a line out and a ground out to end the game at 5-2 Otters.

Junior #Nicole Garcia# improved her record to 5-1, giving up only two runs on six hits.
