SEASIDE, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay men's basketball team fell 78-74 to UC San Diego in the final home game of the season on Saturday at the Otter Sports Center.
Freshman guard #Davion Berry# led the Otters with 23 points, going 8-for-9 from the field and perfect at the free throw line (4-4). Red-shirt freshman #Derrick Anderson# notched 11 points while senior #Sean Jergo# and junior #Ian Hosford# added 10 points each. Hosford pulled down a team-high nine boards.
The Tritons were led by senior Jordan Lawley with 28 points and Christian Hatch added 19 points.
The Otters wrap up their 2009-10 campaign next week, traveling to Cal Poly Pomona on Thursday, Feb. 25 and Cal State San Bernardino the following day. Both games begin at 7:30 p.m.
