SEASIDE, Calif. - The Cal State Monterey Bay women's basketball team clinched a 49-41 victory over San Francisco State on Wednesday afternoon.

The Otters improve to 4-0 overall while the Gators (0-3) are still looking for their first victory of the 2010-11 season.

Junior #Erika Ward# led the Otters with 11 points, recording three from behind the 3-point line.  Junior #Shonetta Crain-Williams# added eight points on top of her team-high five rebounds.  Senior #Michelle Santizo# dished out four assists.

The Gators held a 28-24 lead at the break.

SF State's Dominique Hunter had a game-high 12 points and nine rebounds. Erica Greer contributed 11 points and six rebounds.

The Otters forced 21 turnovers but lost the battle of the boards to the Gators, 32-25.

CSUMB takes a nine-game break before returning to the court on Friday, Dec. 3 to host UC San Diego at 5:30 p.m.
