SEASIDE, Calif. - The Cal State Monterey Bay men's basketball dropped a heartbreaker to rival San Francisco State, 78-75, on Sunday afternoon at the Kelp Bed.

Sophomore #Davion Berry# scored a game-high 24 points on top of five assists and seven rebounds. Senior #Darroll Phillips# knocked down three 3-pointers to finish with 11 points.  Senior #Ian Hosford# added 10 points and five rebounds.  Senior #Warren Freeman# contributed nine points and seven boards.

The Otters held a 45-36 lead at the half time break.

CSUMB went 8-for-11 (72.7) beyond the arc and 27-for-34 (79.4) at the free throw line. The Otters outrebounded the Gators 33-23.

SF State had six players in double-digits with Nefi Perdomo leading the way with 18 points.

The Otters take a eight-day break from games, returning to the court on Nov. 30 at Menlo College.  Tipoff is 7 p.m.
