BELMONT, Calif. - The Cal State Monterey Bay women's basketball team notched a 70-67 victory over host Notre Dame de Namur in its first game of the NDNU Tournament on Friday night.

Sophomore forward #Holly Holcomb# led the Otters with 15 points while senior guard #Michelle Santizo# added 14 points. Senior forward #LaShawn Johnson# contributed 12 points. Junior guard #Amanda Padilla# dished out six assists and senior #Julie Heurung# pulled down six boards.

The game was even at 33-33 at the half after Padilla dropped a 3-pointer with three seconds remaining.

The Otters shot 53.8 percent from the field in the second half while the Argonauts were held to only 44.8.

NDNU won the battle of the boards, outrebounding CSUMB 39-25.

The game consisted of 12 ties with 21 lead changes.

The Argonauts were led by Laura Zasly's 24 points and her sister, Katie added 17 points. Pilar Mullins had a game-high 16 rebounds.

The Otters take to the floor on Saturday, Nov. 20 to play Montana State-Billings at 5 p.m. in thier final game of the NDNU tournament.
