TURLOCK, Calif. – Freshman #Sherene Thompson# scored her first collegiate goal, but it was not enough as the Cal State Monterey Bay women's soccer team fell 3-1 to the Cal State Stanislaus Warriors on Friday night under the lights at Warrior Stadium.
The Warriors got on the board in the first three minutes of the game on a shot by Marissa Dunaway.
Thompon's goal came only a minute and half later on a pass from sophomore #Gabriella Bozzo#.
Stanislaus retook the lead in the 32nd minute on Karenee's 15th goal of the season.
The Warriors added an insurance goal in the beginning of the second half off the foot of Alexia Poon.
Sophomore #Graciela Holguin# recorded a career-high 12 saves.
The Otters travel to Chico State on Saturday, Oct. 24, for their final road game of the season. Kickoff is at 11:30 a.m.
