SEASIDE, Calif. - The Cal State Monterey Bay men's soccer team registered its first victory of the season with a 1-0 shutout against San Francisco State on Friday afternoon.
After a scoreless first half, the Otters scored the lone goal of the game in the 62nd minute. Junior #Eli Zamora# scored his first collegiate goal off a corner kick by junior #Tyler Dapello#.
The Gators outshot CSUMB 13-10 but the Otters had eight shots on goal to their six.
Junior #Sam Campanelli# recorded five saves.
The Otters travel to San Francisco on Sunday, Oct. 17 for another match-up against the Gators. Kick-off is 2 p.m.
