Otters Fall 3-0 to Sonoma State

ROHNERT PARK, Calif.
– The Cal State Monterey Bay women's soccer team fell 3-0 to the Seawolves of Sonoma State on Friday afternoon.

The Otters fall to 2-7 overall and 1-6 in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) action while the Seawolves (2-4-2, 1-4-2 CCAA) picked up their first conference win.

The Seawolves took a 1-0 lead in the seventh minute on Sara Studer's header from a cross by Allie Maduell.

Struder picked up her second goal of the game in the 71st minute and Allison Kern chipped another two minutes later to give SSU a 3-0 advantage.

The Otters were outshot 15-7 while forcing the Seawolves into eight offsides.

Senior #Carrie LaPonza#, sophomore #Gabriella Bozzo# and freshman #Natalie Argueta# had shots on goals for the Otters.

CSUMB travels to Arcata on Sunday to take on the Lumberjacks of Humboldt State.  Kickoff is at 11:30 a.m.
