CSUMB Drops 2-0 Decision To Sonoma State

ROHNERT PARK, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay men's soccer team was shutout, 2-0, to the Seawolves of Sonoma State on Friday afternoon.

The Otters are now 0-6-2 overall and 0-5-2 against California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) opponents. Sonoma State improves to 6-3, 4-3 in conference play.

Sonoma State's first goal came in the 15th minute on Cam Vicker's cross that found Taylor Varnadores head.  

The Seawolves nabbed their insurance goal in the 77th minute on a free kick by Trevor Hurst.

Junior Sam Campanelli racked up seven saves as the Otters were outshot 26-3.

The Otters make the trip up to Arcata on Sunday to play Humboldt State at 2 p.m.
