CARSON, Calif. - The Cal State Monterey Bay women's basketball team notched its sixth California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) victory on Saturday night, pulling off a 66-61 win over Cal State Dominguez Hills.

Senior #Helen Suarez# led the way for the Otters with 25 points after shooting 64.3 percent (9-for-13) from the field and 75 percent (3-for-4) from beyond the arc.  She also was perfect at the charity stripe (4-for-4).  Senior #Veronica Williams# nabbed 13 points.  Junior #Julie Heurung# pulled down a game-high seven rebounds along with her eight points.

The Otters shot 42.9 percent (21-49) from the field and a season-high 94.1 percent (16-for-17) from the free throw line.  CSUMB had a 32-27 rebounding advantage.

The Toros were led by Neka Mixon with 12 points and Brandie McCann with 10 points.

CSUMB travels to San Diego on Thursday, Jan 14 to take on No. 9 UC San Diego.  Tip-off is 5:30 p.m.
