SEASIDE, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay women's soccer team fell, 3-0, to Cal State Dominguez Hills on Sunday afternoon at the Otter Soccer Complex.
The Toros scored 10 minutes into the game when Paige Peel received a forward pass from Melissa Livergood and tapped it across the goal line.
Thirty seconds later, #Marlina Massagli# took a shot that was reflected off Toros keeper Alyssa Congdon's glove and passed over the crossbar.
The Toros extended their lead to 2-0 in the 21st minute on a goal by Jessica Murphy. The assist went to Peel.
With less than ten minutes in the game, Murphy nabbed her second goal of the day on a shot from 15 feet out from the right side.
CSUMB keeper #Andrea Davis# recorded four saves as the Otters racked up six shots on goal to CSUDH's nine.
Next up for the Otters is a road game on Friday, Sept. 25 against Humboldt State in Arcata. Kickoff is at 12:30 p.m.
