Otters and Tritons Play To Scoreless Draw

LA JOLLA, Calif.
– The Cal State Monterey Bay men's soccer team recorded its second consecutive shutout as the Otters drew a 0-0 double overtime draw against the Tritons of UC San Diego on Sunday afternoon.

“Today was a hard fought effort by the men,” said head coach #Artie Cairel#. “We seem to be getting tighter as a group.

“#Gabe Glass# and #Riley Johns# were outstanding again.”

The Otters lone shot on goal came in the 87th minute off a free kick by #Andrew Breault#.
 
Goalkeeper #Brenden Baca# notched five saves in the contest.

After two conference games, the Otters are in a four-way tie for first place in the north division with Sonoma State, San Francisco State and Chico State.

CSUMB (1-3-1, 1-0-1 CCAA) welcomes No.5 Cal State L.A. to the Otter Soccer Complex on Friday, Sept. 18.  Kickoff is 3 p.m.
