HAYWARD, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay women's soccer team kicked off its conference season with a 3-1 victory over Cal State East Bay on Friday afternoon.
The game was determined early, with both teams scoring its goals in the first half.
Seniors #Sarah Alderson# and #Alyssa Matheson# along with freshman #Marlina Massagli# each scored goals for the Otters.
"The women played very well today and all three goals were high quality," said head coach #Artie Cairel#. "The team is on a well deserved winning streak.
"The back four were excellent again with only one dangerous chance in the second half."
CSUMB (2-2-1) travels to southern California to take on the Tritons of UC San Diego on Sunday, Sept. 13. Kickoff is 11:30 a.m.
