COACH BISHOP'S CORNER: “We are happy to be back home after a rough trip down to Long Beach.  This Friday's game versus Menlo will be a good opportunity for us to get back on the winning track before the Christmas Holiday.  We continue to get better and really need to come out and play hard on Friday.  We host SF State on Dec.29 for our third home league game in a row.  That game is a must win for us since we will be in the middle of a five game league home stand.  The Gators have very good guards but are a little thin up front and that is where we need to take advantage of our size and depth.  ”

THE OAKS: Menlo (4-4) makes its first-ever appearance at the Kelp Bed. Matt Davis, in his first year at the Menlo helm, has the Oaks on a two-game winning streak. After a 83-62 victory over West Coast Baptist on Dec. 4, Menlo pulled off a 79-75 overtime win against UC Santa Cruz on Dec. 5.  Players to Watch: junior guard Julian Harris 16.9 ppg, 50.5 field goal percentage, 48.1 3-point field goal percentage; senior guard Tim Kees 12.0 ppg, 4.8 rpg; junior forward Nick McCullar 8.5 ppg, 6.1 rpg.
