Fall Sports Game Notes No. 7
UP NEXT: The Otters return home to begin a six-game homestand, kicking off with BYU-Hawaii on Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 3 p.m. CSUMB then returns to CCAA action on Friday, Oct. 9, hosting Cal State San Bernardino, followed by a match-up against Cal Poly Pomona on Sunday, Oct. 11.
PAST WEEKEND: After falling 3-0 to Chico State on Friday, Oct. 2, the Otters rebounded with a 2-0 shutout over the Cal State Stanislaus Warriors. This was the first loss for Cal State Stanislaus in the new Warriors Soccer Stadium.
THE SEASIDERS: CSUMB was victorious in the only meeting between the two teams, a 5-1 win on Sept. 24, 2007. BYU-Hawaii (2-5, 1-3 Pac West) has lost its last three games.
THE COYOTES: Cal State San Bernardino (9-3, 5-3 CCAA) is third in the CCAA south division standings, behind Cal State L.A. and Cal State Dominguez Hills.
THE BRONCOS: Cal Poly Pomona's (5-6, 3-5 CCAA) forward Tyler Reinhart was named Wilson/CCAA Player of the Week for Sept. 28-Oct. 4 after scoring five goals, including a school-record four goals in a 4-2 victory over Cal State Dominguez Hills.
