SEASIDE, Calif. –  The Cal State Monterey Bay women's soccer team fell 2-1  in double overtime to the Warriors of Cal State Stanislaus on Friday afternoon at the Otter Soccer Complex.

The Otters got on the board first when freshmen duo of #Lindsay Gaitlin# and #Isabella Ortuno# scored in the 43rd minute of play. Gaitlin shot a cross to 18 yards in front of the goal where Ortuno chest trapped it and volleyed it to the back of the net.

The Warriors tied the game up at 1-1 in a scramble in front of the goal with Holly Johnson tapping it in.

Five minutes into the second overtime, CSUS's Allisa Barlow chipped the ball over Otter goalkeeper #Andrea Davis# for the golden goal.

CSUMB outshot the Warriors, 8-7.

The Otters return to the field for the final time in 2009 on Sunday, Nov. 1 when they host Chico State at 11:30 a.m. CSUMB will honor the following six seniors prior to the game: #Sarah Alderson#, #Krysta Vukas#, #Cheri Schwanke#, #Kyla Flores#, #Shelly Lungstrum# and #Alyssa Matheson#.
