SEASIDE, Calif. – An early goal by the Seawolves of Sonoma State lifted them to a 1-0 victory over the Cal State Monterey Bay Otters in a women's soccer contest on Friday afternoon.
The Otters fell to 3-10-2 overall and 2-8-1 in CCAA action with the Seawolves improving to 6-7-2, 4-7-2 in conference play.
In the 16th minute of play, freshman Bre Robles passed the ball to senior Tracy Webster who took four touches before blasting the ball into the goal with her left foot.
Sonoma State recorded only six shots, all in the first half. The Otters notched their only two shots, by junior #Jessica Pardo# and #Helen Kania#, in the second half.
The Otters hosts Humboldt State on Sunday, Oct. 18 at 11:30 a.m.
