SEASIDE, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay men's soccer team (0-2-1) dropped a 2-0 decision Tuesday afternoon against Notre Dame de Namur at Koret Field.
Junior #Brenden Baca# and sophomore #Sam Campanelli# combined for 13 saves for the Otters while allowing one goal each.
NDNU took a 1-0 lead in the 18th minute on a goal by Carlos Lopes and clinched the win with an unassisted goal by Koroush Beham at the 74th minute.
Junior #Juan Murillo# notched CSUMB's only shot in goal of the game.
CSUMB begins conference play on Friday, Sept. 12 as they host Cal State Dominguez Hills with a 3 p.m. kickoff. In their last meeting, the Otters saw their 2007 season come to an end in a 9-8 shootout loss in the California Conference Athletic Association's championship game.
