SEASIDE, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to Cal State Dominguez Hills on Friday, Sept, 12 in the California Conference Athletic Association (CCAA) opener.
The Toros jumped out to 1-0 lead in the first half. Senior Kelly Matosian tapped the ball pass freshman keeper #Graciela Holgun# in the 14th minute. CSUDH increased their lead on a three touch play that begun on a corner kick by Jessica Murphy. Junior Natalie Moreno collected her first goal of the season.
The Toros clinched the victory on senior Yvonne Vasquez's goal at the 87-minute, 55-second mark.
CSUMB were outshot by the Toros, 9-14.
Holguin collected eight saves and junior #Krysta Vukas# led the Otters with two shots on goal.
The Otters end their four-game homestand on Sunday, Sept. 14, hosting No. 3 UC San Diego at Otter Sports Complex. Kick-off is at 11:30 a.m.
