SEASIDE --- The best women's basketball team in the California Collegiate Athletic Association, CSU San Bernardino, played like it Saturday night, defeating the Cal State Monterey Bay Otters 74-50 at the Otter Sports Center.
CSUSB's Vanessa Wilt, who leads the conference in scoring with 20.1 points per game, scored 25, hitting 10 of 16. Her teammate Shanae Blake scored 13 and Leslie Pickron put in 11 as the Coyotes improved their record to 15-4 overall and 9-3 in the CCAA. The Otters fell to 2-17 and 1-11.
The Otters' #Dana Andrews#, the conference's second-leading scorer, scored 21. #Alma Lopez# scored nine and #Krista Herr# had six points in the loss. Andrews also grabbed 12 rebounds. Wilt had 14 boards.
The Otters' next game is at home on Friday when they face CSU Stanislaus. Tipoff is at 5:30 p.m.
