LOS ANGELES --- An 11-point run with 5:13 left in the game still wasn't enough to get the Lady Otters back in the game Saturday night as they lost to CSU Los Angeles 65-55.

CSUMB (3-22 overall 2-16 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association) trailed 59-38 with just more than five minutes left, but the game within reach at 59-49 with 2:34 left in the game. #Brittany Kikuchi# scored the last four points of the run from the free throw line. But the Otters would get no closer and lose by 10.

CSUMB shot just 11 percent from the field in the first half and trailed 37-19 at the break. The women did make all 12 of their free throws. #Dana Andrews#, who shot 2-9 from the field, made 12-13 from the free throw line and led the Otters with 17 points. #Krista Herr# had 13 rebounds and eight points. #Alma Lopez# had 13 points, shooting 2-15, but 8-11 from the free throw line. She also had seven boards.

Veronica Williams led CSULA (9-15, 6-12) with 18 points on 6-10 shooting. She also had nine rebounds in her 24 minutes of play.

The Otters are at home next week and face San Francisco State on Wednesday and UC San Diego on Thursday. Both games tip off at 5:30 p.m.
