SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay women's soccer team was defeated by San Francisco State University Wednesday afternoon at Cox Stadium. 

The loss puts the Otters at 1-12-1 (0-9 CCAA) on the season.

SF State's Zoila Marquez scored her first of two goals on the day just shy of the 20-minute mark to give the Gators a 1-0 lead.  Nine minutes later, the Gators added to their lead when Robin Bowman scored her seventh goal of the season.

Kelsey Carapia first goal of the season gave the Gator's a 3-0 lead into halftime.

Marquez knocked in her second goal at the 56-minute mark to finish the scoring of the game.

The Otters received shots on goal from senior #Cassidy Bennett#, junior #Brenna Noguez# and sophomore #Carrie LaPonza#.

CSUMB hosts Cal State L. A. on Friday, Oct. 11 at the Otter Soccer Complex.  Kick-off is at 12:30 p.m.
