The theory of relativity takes effect with the CSUMB women’s basketball program as Kellie Beckman, mother of senior guard Nikki Beckman, joins the coaching staff. Beckman brings with her significant coaching experience at both the high school and 2–year college levels.
Beckman most recently served as the at NorCal power Ohlone College when she helped Coach Julie Allander’s squads compile a 41–18 record over the past two seasons. Prior to that, was the head JV coach at Dublin High School, leading her Gaels to 32–17 mark over the 2011 and 2012 campaigns.
Beckman earned her bachelor of science degree in biology from Cal State East Bay. She is working on her master’s in coaching and athletics administration at Concordia–Irvine.
