Ryan Lengerich is entering his second season as Cal State Monterey Bay's assistant coach.
A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Lengerich assists in all aspects of the program including recruiting, practice planning, travel, strength and conditioning.
Lengerich has six years of club coaching experience in Indiana, Florida and California. He was named Florida Region 2010 Coach of the Year for all U-16 and U-15 coaches in the region.
Lengerich was a four-year starter as an outside hitter for the Indiana University club volleyball team. During his senior year, Lengerich led the Hoosiers to a No. 1 national ranking by the National Intramural- Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA), the governing body for collegiate club volleyball at the time.
Lengerich earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in journalism with a minor in political science from Indiana University in Bloomington in 2003. He spent seven years as an editor and reporter at newspapers in New Mexico, Indiana and Florida.
Lengerich recently married Marisa Scheetz and lives in Marina.
