Biography
2010 – Cal State Monterey Bay
Marlina Massagli proved to be the Otters’ top offensive threat as a sophomore, leading the team with four goals, 10 points and 22 shots (14 on frame)…scored the match–winner in a season–opening victory over Menlo College (Sept. 2)…had a goal and an assists at Cal Poly Pomona (Oct. 8)…converted a PK at Chico State (Oct. 25).
2009 – Cal State Monterey Bay
Marlina appeared in 17 games, starting in 13, as a freshman…finished second on the team with 10 shots on goal...scored her first goal in her second collegiate game at Cal State East Bay (Sept. 11).
High School
Marlina was a two-time All-Baseline League selection Los Osos High School...selected team captain as a senior when she scored three goals and chipped in seven assists...also all–league as a junior after a seven–goal, three–assists season…played club for Claremont Stars Premier...led team to Cal South State championship in 2007.
Personal
Marlina is majoring in liberal studies…plans to go to graduate school…daughter of Tony and Lisa Massagli...has two sisters: Angelina and Gina.

I chose to play at CSUMB because: The small class sizes and women’s soccer program.
If I could play any sport other than soccer, I’d play: Tennis because you can always play the sport no matter how old you are and my whole family plays.
If I were head coach for a day I would: Enjoy planning team building activities with the girls and plan a fun practice.
My best non-athletic talent is: It would have to be doing hair and make-up.
My favorite food is: My mom’s Italian food
The person I admire most is: My dad because he is the best role model and friend you could have. He pushes me to do my personal best.
