Prince William returned to the Monterey Bay area to join the Otter Sports Medicine team in August, 2012. He works primarily with both soccer programs in the fall and with the softball team in the spring while assisting with the other 10 programs throughout the season.
Williams owns a variety of professional career experiences that expand across various levels of athletics. He has worked with the NFL as an ATC spotter for the San Francisco 49ers since the 2016 season.
Among his pre–Otter highlights was a stop at Cal, where he covered rugby, football and gymnastics with the Bears sports medicine staff.
Prior to his time at Cal Williams spent six years at nearby Hartnell College where he served as both an assistant and head athletic trainer.
Williams graduated from Benedictine College (Kan.) where he attended on a football scholarship. He earned his bachelor’s degree in physical education with an emphasis in athletic training. He went on to earn his master’s of science at Cal (Pa.), earning a degree in exercise science with an emphasis in corrective exercise. He has also completed did some postgraduate work at Cal U’s certificated sports psychology program.
In addition to his degree work, Williams is an NSCA certified strength and conditioning specialist and is an NASM certified corrective exercise specialist.
In his spare time Williams’ passions include weightlifting and bodybuilding. He holds a 4th degree black belt in two systems and is an instructor/teacher in a weapons based bladed art called Eskrima.
