Biography
As a Junior in 2013: Came back from an injury to play in the final eight games, starting in six for a total of 729 minutes…she did play all 90 minutes of the final game of the season against Chico State but allowed injured senior Kelly Piol to receive the official start…took a shot against Cal Poly Pomona (10/25) and Chico State (11/3).
As a Sophomore in 2012: Started in all 17 games and never leaving the field of play for 10 games…ranked third on the team in minutes played (1,371)…played a vital role in CSUMB’s defense…got off three shots on the season including two against Cal State East Bay (9/30).
As a Freshman in 2011: Displayed good skills and an impressive work rate despite an early injury that limited her first collegiate season…made 13 appearances and 11 starts, including the final six matches…played every minute of nine matches, including a season–high 108 minutes in the home–opener versus San Francisco State (Sept. 9)…put three of her five shots on frame.
High School: Developed a versatile soccer toolbox prior to arriving at CSUMB…played four seasons of varsity ball at Monta Vista High School where she led the Matadors to four consecutive CIF Central Coast Section Div. I final fours…helped MVHS capture the CIF section title in 2009…was a three–time first team All–Santa Clara Valley Athletic League selection and a second team San Jose Mercury News All–Area pick as a senior…played her club soccer with Santa Clara Sporting, winning a U.S. Futsal National title in 2006 and a U.S. Club Soccer national title in 2008.
Personal: Daughter of Alvan and Penny Tomsister…sister Kyla competed in crew at Saint Mary's and brother Darryl, a former U.S. U17 team member, competed for Saint Mary’s College...majoring in environmental science.
