2012 – Cal State Monterey Bay
Kelly Mayer improved in every race in her first season as an Otter…after opening with a 5K time of 20:37.0 at Golden Gate Park (Sept. 1), she posted additional 5K times of 20:07.4 at Granite Regional Park (Sept. 8) and 19:20.4 at Baylands Park (Oct. 13)…ran a 25:21.4 at UC San Diego’s 6K course during the regular season (Oct. 6) then bettered that by 14 seconds with a 25:07.6 at the CCAA Championship meet (Oct. 20)
High School Career
Mayer lettered four years for the Pirates of Santa Ynez High School...set school record in 3000 meter (10:51)...senior class president.
Personal
Mayer is majoring in human communications at CSUMB…career plan is to teach English as a foreign language…daughter of Marlin and Linda Mayer...has a sister, Susie.
