Biography

2016–17 – Cal State Monterey Bay: Jordan Allen took big steps forward on the cross country courses and on the track as a sophomore…was CSUMB’s No. 2 finisher at the Humboldt State Invitational (Sept. 10), finishing a season–best 25th overall on the Patrick’s Point State Park course…also ran a collegiate best 6K of 22:15.96 in the race…became CSUMB’s first–ever steeplechaser in 2017…qualified for the CCAA Championship Meet in the event with a PR of 12:06.71 at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival (Apr. 1)…though not an official NCAA event, she ran an 11:22.55 in the 3,000 meters at the Bulldog Invitational in Clovis (Apr. 22).

2015 – Cal State Monterey Bay: Allen started her collegiate career with a bang, running what would prove to be a season–best 23:35.80 in her first meet at the UC Riverside Invitational on the UCR Ag Ops course (Sept. 12)…went on to compete in six of seven races, including the CCAA Championship and NCAA Division II West Regional meets…best finish was sixth place at the Sonoma State Invitational (Oct. 3).

High School: Allen starred in both cross country and track for the Wildcats of Marin Catholic…ran a 20:23 5K in the high school section of the Stanford Invitational last season…was the MCHS team captain in both cross country and track as a senior…cross country team MVP in 2012 and 2013 in addition to earning track MVP honors three times…her 400 meter PR of 1:02.29 would be a CSUMB record for the event…ran a 27.20 200 in May, 2015…ran with the Marin Waves TC, for whom she earned All–America honors in the 1500 and 3000 in 2011.

Personal: Allen is majoring in business administration with a concentration in marketing at CSUMB…served as the head of marketing for the Marin Waves for two years…earned All–Academic honors from the CCAA and the D2 Athletic Directors Association as a sophomore…an honor roll student who was a 4–year member of the North Coast Section Scholar–Athlete team.
