Biography
2019–20 – Cal State Monterey Bay
- Ran in six of seven races as a sophomore.
- Set a PR at the 5K distance with a 19:21.49 at the Coyote Challenge on the CSUSB Campus Course (Sept. 21).
- Set a 6K PR of 23:26.5 at the Bronco Invitational on the Baylands park Course (Oct. 19).
- Best finish was 39th (of 101) at the Gator Invitational (Oct. 11).
- On the track, she PRed in the 5,000m with a 19:42.88 at the Kim Duyst Invitational (Mar. 7).
2018–19 – Cal State Monterey Bay:
- Ran in all regular season meets plus the CCAA Championship as a freshman.
- Set her 5K SR of 21:14.2 at the UC Riverside Invitational (Sept. 15).
- Ran her 6K PR of 25:09.8 at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational (Oct. 13).
- Best raw finish was 24th at the Lumberjack Invitational (Oct. 20).
- Ran both the 1,500 and the 5,000 for the Otter track team.
High School:
- Earned the Most Improved Runner and the Triple–A Award while competing at Paraclete High School.
- Posted a pair of Top 20 finishes in 6 races as a senior.
- Paraclete won the GCL title all four years she attended.
- Best finish as a senior was 17th place at the Gold Coast League Finals.
- Set her 5K prep PR of 21:40.0 on the Woodward Park course in the Asics/Clovis West Invitational as a junior in 2016.
- 3–mile PR of 19:59.1 also came during her junior season.
- Specialized in the 1,600 and 3,200 meter races for the PHS track team.
- PRs are 5:52.72 in the 1,600 and 12:51.27 in the 3,200.
Personal:
- Is majoring in kinesiology with a minor in psychology.
- Career plans include graduate school and working in occupational therapy.
- A member of the 2020 CCAA Fall Academic Team.
- Has been a Girl Scout since first grade and earned the prestigious Gold Award, the highest award available in the Girl Scouts (often compared to Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts).
- Parents are David and Lisa Marin.
