Biography
2015 – Cal State Monterey Bay: Fattima Momini continued to be an integral cog in the Otter machine, appearing in the first six races of 2015 (making it 13 of 14 in her career)…ran a season–best time of 24:13.00 to place 13th at the Sonoma State Invitational at Spring Lake Regional Park (Oct. 3)…the 13th place finish was the best of her career.
2014 – Cal State Monterey Bay: Momini jumped right into the fire, competing in all seven meets as an Otter freshman…best 6K time was a 24:08.30 at the Bronco Invitational on the Baylands Park course (Oct. 18)…also claimed her best collegiate finish (51st) in that race…her first collegiate race was a 20:25.10 5K in the open division of the UCR Invitational (Sept. 13).
High School: Momini joined the Otters from Weston Ranch High School in Stockton, where she ran track and was the Cougars’ cross country MVP as a senior in 2013…earned All–Valley Oak League and team Coaches Award honors as the WRHS team captain in 2013…left WRHS with school records in the 1,600, 3,200 and 5K.
Personal: MominI is majoring in psychology at CSUMB…parents are Fariba and Sidiq Momini…is a native of native of Mississauga, Ontario, a suburb of Toronto.
