Biography
Cal State Monterey Bay Soccer: For the second consecutive season, the Otter cross country team will get a boost from the Otter soccer squad as senior Chelsea Strange joins the team for her final year of eligibility…started all 18 matches in defense as a senior in 2013 and finished second on the team with 1,609 minutes played…also started every game as a junior after transferring from Coastal Carolina where she helped the Chanticleers win the Big South Conference title in 2010.
High School: Strange was a team captain, All–Bay League first team and Daily Breeze All–Area selection at Mira Costa High School…also ran cross country and was named the Mustangs’ most outstanding runner…helped lead her Palos Verdes Soccer Club to a host of tournament championships.
Personal: Strange is majoring in human communications at CSUMB…wants op pursue a career in marketing for a professional sports team…daughter of Marc and Patti Strange...father played baseball at Humboldt State (1977–78)…brother Cody and sister Shana are both competitive triathletes.
