Michael Paddack

Dr. Michael Paddack assumed the title of Head Athletic Trainer at Cal State Monterey Bay on July 15, 2013.

Paddack began his careers in 1990 at North Coast Sport and Physical Therapy in Eureka where he worked in the clinical, high school and fitness settings.  While in the area, Paddack also performed athletic training coverage for both the Humboldt Crabs semi-pro independent baseball team as well as the Humboldt Eagles high school all star baseball team. 
 
Paddack moved inland in 1994 to work at Mount Shasta Physical Therapy and Wellness center.  His assignment included duties in the sports medicine clinic, high school, and fitness facilities.  
 
In 1997, Paddack became an assistant Athletic Trainer at College of the Siskiyous. Five years later, he was promoted to become the Head Faculty Athletic Trainer.  While at COS, he was responsible for athletic training duties as well as course and program development.  Paddack also served as an adjunct instructor responsible for instruction in a variety of courses in the athletic training, biology, and physical education departments.  
 
Paddack was certified as an Athletic Trainer (ATC) in 1990, licensed as a California Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in 1996, became a Nationally Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) in 2009, became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), as well as a Sports Nutritional Specialist (SNS), 
in 2015, and Transitioned his First Aid, CPR, AED instructor certification from the American Red Cross to the American Health and Safety Institute (AHSI), in order to align more appropriately with the Institution.  
Paddack holds an Associate of Science degree in general studies from College of the Siskiyous (1986), a Bachelor's of Science degree in Education from Southern Oregon State College (1989), a Master's of Science degree in Kinesiology with emphasis in Sports Medicine from Humboldt State University (2003), and a Doctor of Science degree in Clinical and Educational Athletic Training from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions (2012). 
Through out Paddack’s career he has been involved in the fitness, clinical, outreach, high school, semi-pro, and collegiate settings and worked with youth, adult, amateur, and professional athletes.
