HIGH SCHOOL
Valerie Valdez was the last addition to the 2013 Otter roster…enjoyed a stellar senior season for Rosamond High School, hitting (.462) while leading the Roadrunners runs (37), RBIs (38), doubles (6), triples (3) and home runs (8)…her eight homers are an RHS single–season record…hit .575 (19–for–33) over a season–best nine–game hitting streak from Apr. 17 through May 4…led RHS to the second round of the CIF Southern Section Division VI Tournament in 2012…hit .286 as a freshman to help lead the Roadrunners to the CIF title as a freshman in 2009…also a part of the RHS High Desert League championship teams of 2009 and 2010…two time All–HDL selection…team MVP in 2012…played travel ball with Stealth Adams, helping her club win the 2001 California “B” championship.

PERSONAL
Valdez is majoring in kinesiology with a minor in Spanish at CSUMB…plans to attend graduate school after earning her bachelor’s degree…was a national scholar–athlete award winner.
