As a Junior in 2009: Red-shirted

As a Sophomore in 2008: Started in 48 games for the Otters at first base...appeared in 51 of 61 games...owned a .259 batting average with 36 hits, three doubles and 13 RBI...recorded six multi-hit games...went 3-for-3 with with two RBI in a 8-0 shutout over Sonoma State (3/15)...cracked the game-winning hit against Hawaii Pacific (3/29).

As a Freshman in 2007: Appeared in 38 games during her rookie season at first base for the Otters...posted a .213 batting average with 19 hits and 11 RBI..hit her first collegiate home run against UC San Diego (3/17)...went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run against St. Martin's (3/31)...hit a two-run homer against Grand Canyon (4/20).

High School: Four-year varsity starter...served as captain two years...All-Conference first-team selection...led team to CCS all four years...also played soccer for three years.

Personal: Daughter of Frank and Anna Trujillo...has two sisters, Angelina and Alisha...majoring in Education.

Why I chose to attend CSUMB: Because I was going to be one of the first from my high school to attend this university. CSUMB is also a smaller campus then other schools. It is like a little community of its own. I could not see myself at a big school. I also chose to come here because it is not far from home and I can go home whenever I want. CSUMB was my next step in continuing my career in softball. I didn't even know CSUMB existed until I heard they had just started a softball program. I am happy I made the decision to become an Otter.
