SANTIAGO CANYON COLLEGE
Katie Denio will fight for time in the Otter infield after playing her first two seasons at Santiago Canyon College…started 37 games as a freshman and earned the Hawks Most Improved Player Award in 2012…helped SCC win the Orange Empire Conference title in 2013 while playing with now CSUMB teammate Taylor Ousley.

HIGH SCHOOL
Denio prepped at Irvine’s Beckman High School where she appeared in 27 of 31 games for the Patriots as a senior in 2011…helped lead BHS to the Pacific Coast League title in 2009.

Full name is Mary Katherine Denio…is majoring in kinesiology with a minor in sport management at CSUMB…older sister, Megan, played softball for four seasons at Long Beach State…was a 4–time scholar–athlete award winner in high school.
