Tori Nyberg

Nyberg spent the last three years as the president and owner of Elevate Performance Counseling, specializing in sports and performance counseling. She is a licensed counselor with an bachelor's degree from Stanford in psychology and a master's in counseling psychology from Northwestern University. She also is a member of both the American Counseling Association and the Association for Applied Sports Psychology.

Prior to her time in the private sector, Nyberg was one of the top assistant coaches at the NCAA Division I level. As pitching coach, she helped lead Northwestern to a pair of Big Ten Conference titles as well as a second place finish at the NCAA College World Series in 2006 and a third place finish in 2007. She was a member of the 2006 NCAA Division I coaching staff of the year.

"I think having a successful season is all about winning one pitch at time, no matter what level that you're at," says Nyberg. "Hopefully I can bring some success having had success in the postseason to this team and we can do some great things."

Nyberg's success on the softball field extended back to her time as a student–athlete at Stanford. She was a 2–time Academic All–American® who helped lead Stanford to a third place finish at the College World Series in 2001.

She was named the Cardinal team MVP and most inspirational player in 2002 and was inducted into the Peninsula Sports Hall of Fame in 2011.
